Introduction to Media and International Relations
This course represents the basis of the theoretical and cognitive structure of the student of international relations; as the course deals with the definition and concepts of political science and the relationship of media science to politics and other sciences in addition to the forms of states and political systems in terms of sovereignty and in terms of the constitutional form and elements of the political system. The course also touches on international relations in terms of their concept, foundations of their construction and characteristics, their forms and the active forces in them.
Outcomes:
Providing the student with scientific, theoretical and cognitive knowledge related to international relations and their relationship to media and political science in a way that establishes the formulation of the concept of international relations in the student’s mind.
Research Methods in the Humanities
This course is considered to be of great importance as it refines the student with the foundations, rules and skills of scientific research necessary to complete any paper or research work suitable for publication in the field of humanities; The course includes an introductory introduction to scientific research as a concept and term, the foundations of building a research plan, and the elements and conditions of sound scientific writing.

Helping researchers to present an accurate study of scientific research, as well as reaching supported and accurate results.
Speaking to the masses skills
This course aims to hone the learner with the skills necessary to speak to the masses, the rules of political rhetoric, and the persuasive strategies needed by a diplomat and international relations man. It also provides the learner with communication skills, the most prominent techniques and skills of speaking to the masses, the nature of the different masses that the message maker deals with, and the controls for dealing with the public.

Giving learners the skills of speaking to the masses, the foundations of political communication, and the communication skills needed by an international relations man and diplomat.
Journalism and opinion making
Journalism is the most prominent and oldest medium among the various media, and is closely linked to public opinion making. In this course, the student will learn about the most prominent theories of media influence that contribute to shaping public opinion and the nature of the relationship between the press and public opinion making.

Developing the student’s knowledge of the relationship between the press and public opinion, the foundations and steps of public opinion making, and the theories of media influence that frame the relationship between the media and the press and public opinion, and the mutual relations between public opinion and the press.
Political geography
The course addresses the factors influencing the emergence and expansion of states, then studying the final form of the state and the resulting problems with its neighbors. It sheds light on the natural conditions and resources, whether natural or human, that affect the strength or weakness of the state. The course is concerned with shedding light on the theories of strategy, whether at the level of countries or the world as a whole, and the problems of war and peace.

Immigration and Asylum Issues

This course derives its importance from its title; as it focuses on studying public opinion, its types, forms, characteristics, quantitative and qualitative methods of measuring it, how to build it, and the most prominent statistical methods and tools with psychometric properties suitable for measuring it.

Providing the learner with the skills and knowledge necessary to design research tools concerned with measuring public opinion and its quantitative and qualitative methods of measuring it in terms of construction and standardization.
The Rise of Far-Right Movements Around the World
The course addresses the intellectual visions of the phenomenon of the rise of the far-right around the world, and touches on defining the far-right, its forms and images, its political practices around the world, and the extent of its current influence, on the European level and in the Middle East region.

Developing the learners’ knowledge of the necessary information about far-right movements globally and their impact on the political arena, with a focus on the European level and the Middle East region.
Diplomacy
This course is one of the most important courses that a student of international relations must study and pay attention to; as the course deals with the definition of diplomacy and the most important diplomatic rules that must be followed in diplomatic work and successful negotiation skills, in addition to the characteristics of diplomacy and its history, the duties and tasks of diplomatic work.

Developing students’ knowledge of the information and skills required for diplomatic work and the most important diplomatic rules that must be followed and successful negotiation skills.
Energy and its impact on politics in the Middle East
This course focuses on the issue of energy as a global phenomenon and its impact on international politics and the nature of relations between different political systems, and focuses on the role of energy and its uses in relations between countries of the world at the present time.

Contemporary Arab Political Thought
The course aims to provide students with knowledge of contemporary Arab political thought and the most important topics that it has been busy discussing and the opinions this thought carries about the state, authority, governance, human rights and the relationship with others.

Help students understand the nature of contemporary Arab political thought and the most prominent topics that revolve around it in light of changes at the international level.
Virtual Public Opinion Making and Media Wars
This course is considered one of the most important and prominent contemporary courses that are compatible with the nature of technological changes in the digital age; This course is concerned with the mechanisms of creating public opinion in virtual reality and through social networks, and how to create, mobilize and target countries, groups, individuals and countries through these platforms in what is known as digital warfare, and the mechanisms of analyzing public opinion through social networks and the means of monitoring it and judging its trends.

Providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge about the methods of creating virtual public opinion, how to deal with big data through social networking sites, how to measure it, the mechanism of extracting big data and how to analyze it, and how the creation of virtual public opinion affects the direction of media wars in the digital space.
International Security Institutions and Organizations
The course deals with defining the most prominent institutions and organizations of an international and security nature around the world, their origins, concept, and influential role in shaping international relations, and how they can affect the change in the balance of power around the world.

Providing students with an appropriate amount of legal information that contributes to forming a comprehensive cognitive framework about international security institutions and organizations and their influential role in shaping international relations.
Climate and Environment in the Midst of International Relations
The course is concerned with highlighting the role of climate and environment in relations between countries and how the geographical nature and climate variables of countries can affect the nature of relations between them, and their importance in managing various conflict files between countries.

Providing students with the knowledge and information necessary to understand the nature of the relationship that links climate and environmental issues to international relations and the mutual influences between them.
International Relations in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
This course sheds light on international relations and their reality in light of the digital revolution and the encroachment of artificial intelligence on various aspects of life. This course focuses on the mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence in the field of international relations, how political affairs are managed between countries in light of the dominance of digitization in communication between peoples, and how technology represents a source of strength for policymakers.

Developing the knowledge and information of students about the reality of international relations in the age of artificial intelligence, and providing them with the necessary skills to deal with the digital communication environment and the employment of artificial intelligence in international politics and how it is exploited by countries in their relations with each other.
Legislation and Laws in the Field of International Relations
This course sheds light on the definition of basic laws and legislation in the field of international relations and defines public international law, its nature, its rules, the basis for commitment to it, the scope of its application, its sources and its development, as well as the concept of the state, its types and its pillars, and identifying the rights and duties of states, especially with regard to international legal responsibility.
Outcomes:
Developing students’ knowledge about the most prominent legislation and laws regulating international relations, and the differences between international law and public international law and other legislation that are frequently used at the political level and in scientific research in the field of international relations.
Graduation Project
This course represents the natural translation of what the student has studied during his enrollment in the program; This course aims to apply and implement the knowledge and skills acquired by the student during his study of the previous specialized courses for the graduation project, in implementing a research project with an innovative creative idea individually or within a work team, until the project is completed in its final form. In the International Relations Department, the project is a research closer to a master’s thesis related to the student’s specialization, which meets the correct scientific conditions and qualifies the student to obtain a master’s in international relations.
Outcomes:
Under this project, the student submits a scientific research that represents a master’s thesis in his field of specialization (international relations) according to the sound scientific methodological rules and foundations and under the supervision of a specialized professor.
