Financing Your Studies at ESJ
Options for Funding Your Education
As a non-profit institution, ESJ relies primarily on tuition fees, similar to other prestigious journalism schools in France. To provide the best opportunities for a diverse range of students, ESJimplements a variable tuition fee structure based on each family’s financial situation.
Tailored Tuition Fees
The tuition fees for each academic year are determined by the family’s tax bracket. For the 2024 academic year, the 2023 tax return will be used to calculate the applicable fees. This sliding scale applies to first-year students entering in the 2024/2025 academic year.
Students can estimate their tuition fees based on their family’s tax information.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
- CROUS: European and non-EU students may be eligible for financial aid through the CNOUS (National Centre for University and School Works). More information can be found at www.cnous.fr.Note: Exchange students are not eligible for this financial aid.
- Work-Study Programs: Students can finance their education through paid internships, part-time jobs, and assignments available via ESJ or through student societies, particularly those focused on entrepreneurial activities.
- Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme: Sponsored by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, this scholarship aims to attract outstanding international students to enroll in master’s programs at French higher education institutions, including ESJ.
