Introduction to Media and Communication Sciences and Digital Journalism
This course is considered to be of great importance as it refines the student with the theoretical and cognitive foundations related to the study of media and communication; as it addresses the emergence and development of traditional and modern media, and their most prominent characteristics and features in the past and present.
Outcomes:
Acquiring a set of knowledge related to media and communication sciences and their various types and forms in addition to defining the history of media (traditional and modern) their emergence and development in the world.
Introduction to Radio and Television
In this course, the student addresses the origins of radio and television, the difference between radio and television work, the most important international and Arab radio and television stations, preparation and production for radio and television, digital broadcasting and digital radio.
Outcomes:
Getting to know more about television and radio work and the differences between them and acquiring a set of skills in the art of writing for radio and television, while addressing new media, especially digital media.
Research Methods
During this course, the student studies the foundations of scientific research in the field of media, in terms of the nature of scientific research and its pillars and types of studies in media and communication sciences: quantitative and qualitative, the most prominent research methods used in the field of media, and the mechanisms for building a research plan.

Helping researchers to provide an accurate study of scientific research, as well as reaching supported and accurate results.
Editing Techniques / News Production
This course addresses the definition of news, its importance, elements and sources, types of news, journalistic formats, news editing, electronic news, and the most prominent techniques in the field of digital journalism.

Learning the correct way to produce news and how to obtain, analyze, write and put it in the correct context according to the editorial line of the institutions, in addition to acquiring news writing skills and ensuring the credibility of sources.
Media Legislation and Professional Ethics
This course deals with the most prominent laws and legislation regulating media work, with recognition of professional ethics and the most important controls and laws that the journalist must respect and knowledge of his rights and duties.

Communication Theories
This course sheds light on the most important communication theories, starting with the theory of authority, freedom and social responsibility, through the basic media theories such as the theory of reliance on media, prioritization and cultural implantation, the spiral of silence, guarding the media gate and some digital communication theories.

Identify the extent to which these theories influence the masses and the extent to which they are used in various media.
Presentation and recitation
This course highlights the voice, its types and vocal layers, correct breathing skills, breathing exercises, understanding and segmenting the text, coloring and intonation and the correct method of performance.

Speaking in front of the camera
This course deals with how to deal with the camera, body language, overcoming fear, tension and phobia, a set of general skills and common mistakes

Mobile Journalism
The course seeks to enhance the acquisition of basic skills for mobile journalism, appropriate shots according to platforms, method of filming and editing

The course aims to introduce the work of news agencies, services provided by agencies

Photography and editing

Linguistic proofreading techniques in the media Media
Language is considered the vessel of thought and the primary transmitter of the media message; therefore, this course will discuss the most prominent terms used in the media from a linguistic perspective, the foundations of correct linguistic formulation of media content, the most prominent rules of grammar, punctuation and sentence structure, and what is said and not said linguistically in the media.

Statistics and Data Analysis
The course deals with the nature of statistics and data analysis, types of samples, principles and basics of statistical analysis, and programs used

Graduation Project
This project represents the natural translation of what the student has studied during his enrollment in the program; as this course aims to apply and implement the knowledge and skills that the student has acquired during his study of the specialized courses previous to the graduation project, in implementing a research project with an innovative creative idea individually or within a work team, until the project is completed in its final form.
Outcomes:
Under this project, the student submits a scientific research that represents a research thesis in his field of specialization (journalism) according to the sound scientific methodological rules and foundations and under the supervision of a specialized professor.
